Our university's Farmer Education Application and Research Center (ÇEUAM) and Agricultural Application and Research Center (TUAM) teams provide scientific support to producers in the region.
With its specialization as a university in "High Value-Added Agricultural Products," our University has made significant contributions to regional development and continues to guide farmers through its research centers.
In this context, a team led by TUAM Director Dr. Ramazan Gürbüz and ÇEUAM Director Assoc. Prof. İsmail Alaserhat visited the farms of our farmers.
The team met with farmers in the town of Melekli in Iğdır, listened to the issues faced by the producers, and offered solutions. During the meeting with the farmers, it was emphasized that the doors of TUAM and ÇEUAM are always open and that technical and scientific support will be continuously provided.
Land and Crop Surveys Were Conducted
Following the meeting, the teams visited the fields to examine the corn and alfalfa crops and informed the farmers about the issues they should pay attention to.
Finally, the team also conducted inspections in apricot orchards, where they explained the methods of combating apricot pests and diseases to help farmers achieve higher yields from their apricots.
